Organizational Profile

The Assessment and Standards Development Services (ASDS) is a WestEd program that is involved extensively at the local, state, and national level in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating standards and assessment tools, methods, and systems. The ASDS program develops ways to use assessments so that all students have an opportunity to learn and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary for success in school and beyond. Staff members at WestEd include preeminent leaders in education and human development as well as assessment, accountability, early childhood, evaluation, policy, community building, and professional development.
