Organizational Profile

TASH is an international membership association of people with disabilities, their family members, advocates, researchers, and people who work in the disability field; collaboratively working for inclusion, opportunity, and research-informed best practice for people labeled with disabilities. TASH was established in 1975 and has chapters throughout the USA and members from thirty-eight countries worldwide. TASH actively promotes the full inclusion and participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life. TASH's mission is to eliminate physical and social obstacles that prevent equity, diversity, and quality of life. Our mission is accomplished through individual, public policy, and legislative advocacy. We publish a monthly magazine, a quarterly journal and run a big, exciting, welcoming annual conference.
