General Advisory Committee Overview

The National Accessible Reading Assessment Projects (NARAP) formed a General Advisory Committee (GAC), the purpose of which is to review and advise on general plans of the projects, as well as to provide liaison with significant stakeholder groups represented by the members of the GAC.

The specific roles of the General Advisory Committee include:

  • Speaking on behalf of the organization that they represent
  • Communicating the progress and outcomes of NARAP to constituents
  • Reflecting the feedback of their constituents to NARAP
  • Disseminating project results to their constituents

Members of the General Advisory Committee are representatives of key organizations including test developers, reading educators, researchers, parents, and disability groups.
