NARAP reflects the collaborative approach suggested in the original call for proposals, which as the projects working together on three of the four research and development goals of the projects:

  • the development of the definition (Goal 1),
  • the development of research-based principles and guidelines (Goal 3),
  • and field testing of accessible reading assessments (Goal 4).

A General Advisory Committee (GAC) oversees all NARAP activities. The GAC is made up of representatives from key organizations including test developers, reading educators, researchers, parents, and disability groups. Learn more about our goals.
